Argentina Announced As Final Stop On LAPT Season 2

The PokerStars sponsored Latin American Poker Tour have announced that Argentina will be the last stop on their Season 2 schedule. The final event of the LAPT will take place at the seaside resort of Mar del Plata from April 16th - 19th.

The Casino Central will play host to the $5,200 buy-in event that is expected to offer the largest LAPT prize pool to date. The Grand Final of this year's tour is expected to draw a field of 600 and attract some of Latin America's best poker players, as well as big names from Europe, America and Team PokerStars Pro's.

The organisers will be hoping for a less eventful stop than the recent event in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, which was cancelled by local officials. The event eventually resumed online when the remaining 89 players took part in an online freeroll. Once a final table was selected, the final 9 were flown down to the LAPT event in Vina del Mar, Chile.
