Meere Wins Paddy Power Poker Irish Masters Winter Festival

The Paddy Power Poker Irish Winter Festival came to a close, with Fiachra Meere of Limerick being crowned the Irish Masters Champion, who survived a field of 423 poker hopefuls to scoop the €150, 000 main prize. Meere defeated Chris Wood who collected €106,000 as the runner-up.
What makes this heads up match unique is both men qualified for the main event via freerolls; Meere won his seat to the tournament at his local cardroom's freeroll, while Wood won his for free through Paddy Power Poker.

3rd John Rafferty -- €68,500
4th David Poole -- €57,000
5th Peter Murphy -- €48,700
6th Jamie Zambuni -- €40,500.
