Poker #1 Most Searched Term For 3rd Consecutive Year

For for the 3rd consecutive year, "Poker" has been named "Top Search Term Of The Year" on popular search engine Lycos. The "Lycos 50 Top Search Terms of 2008" list also includes Golf, Facebook, Pamela Anderson, Clay Aiken, YouTube and Sarah Palin.

According to Lycos, "Poker" retained it's #1 position due to the continued growth of the World Poker Tour (WPT) and the popularity of televised poker shows such as High Stakes Poker.

Taking the #2 spot this year is solicaite and heiress, Paris Hilton. The "Lycos 50 Top Search Terms of 2008" is compiled from user searches from January 1st, 2008 to December 1st, 2008. For more details and analysis visit 50.lycos.com
