ESPN have confirmed that they will be broadcasting the 2008 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOP Europe) main event over 8 hours, beginning on February 1st, 2009. The event attracted 362 of the world's
best players and took place at London's Casino at the Empire.
The event ran for 6 days, while to final table took almost 20 hours to complete. The winner took home the first place prize of more than $1.5 million as well as the WSOP Europe main event bracelet.
The tournament will be shown on ESPN as 8 one hour episodes. The first four episodes will be show in a row beginning at 6pm ET, followed by a repeat of Episodes 1 & 2 on ESPN2 at 10 p.m. The final 2 episodes are scheduled to air on March 1st at 10 and 11 p.m.
