High Stakes Poker Scheduled to Debut On March 1st

The 5th season of High Stakes Poker is set premier on March 1st 2009.  The popular cash game programme will feature as part of 'Poker Night' on GSN. The network will be showing past episodes of the show, as well as previous World Poker Tour events from 6 pm.  New episodes of the High Stakes Poker series will debut at 9 pm.

As previously reported, High Stakes Poker have increased the buy-from $100,000 to $200,000 for the fifth season.

As usual, the show has lined up some of the world's biggest pro players, including: Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Tom "durrr" Dwan, Howard Lederer, David Benyamine, Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies, David Williams, Ivan Demidov and 2008 WSOP Champion Peter Eastgate.
