New Face The Ace Show Premieres August 1st On NBC

If you've ever dreamed of going heads-up against some of the world's greatest poker players, then the new "Face The Ace" poker show might be for you. The new show, hosted by Steve Schirripa ("The Sopranos"), will premiere on Saturday, August 1 (9-10 p.m. ET) on NBC and will gives contestants the opportunity to play against three different Full Tilt Poker pros.

If the contestant manages to win all 3 matches they will walk away with a cool $1,000,000.  To win, all they've got to do is select a poker pro from behind a closed door.  If they manage to win their first heads-up no limit hold'em match they can walk away with $40,000 or choose to take on another pro for the chance to win $200,000.  Taking on a third pro would net then $1,000,000 although if a contestant loses at any point, they go home empty handed.

Some of the biggest names in porfessional poker have signed up to take part in the new show, including ; Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Chris Ferguson, Andy Bloch, Allen Cunningham, Phil Gordon, Gus Hansen, Jennifer Harman, John Juanda, Howard Lederer, Mike Matusow, Erick Lindgren, Huck Seed, Erik Seidel, and Gavin Smith. Collectively, these players have won a staggering 41 WSOP bracelets, 11 World Poker Tour open titles, and amassed nearly $100 million in live tournament winnings.
