PokerStars Attempt Guinness Book Of Records Tournament

PokerStars.com, the largest online poker room, will make a Guinness Book of Records attempt later this month by staging the world's largest online poker tournament. PokerStars set the current world record last year when they attracted a field of 20,000 players to a single tournament.

This year they hope to smash that record by seating 35,000 players at 3,500 tables. PokerStars.com plan to achieve this by combining the low tournament buy-in of only $10 + $1 with a very generous $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The tournament is scheduled to take place on December 28th, at 3:30 pm Easter Time. Full details can be found by downloading the PokerStars.com software and selecting the "Tournament" and "Special" tabs. Over 3,000 entrants have already singed up to take part in this historic event.
