Russian Poker Tour RPT Visits St Petersburg And Moscow

St. Petersburg and Moscow have been confirmed as the host cities for the inaugural PokerStars Russian Poker Tour RPT series. Poker has become massively popular in Russia in recent times, boasting some of the fastest growth rates worldwide.

The Russian Poker Tour is schedule to roll into St. Petersburg from January 25th to February 1st, 2009. The event will have a $5,000 buy-in. The next stop on the RPT will be Moscow which will run from February 22nd to 28th and have a sizeable $10,000 buy-in.

Satellites are already up and running on PokerStars for the St. Petersburg event and can be entered for 111 Frequent Player Points or $2.22.  The satellies will run from Monday-Saturday from now until the end of the year.  The eventual winner will walk away with a prize package worth $8,000, which includes a tournament buy in, hotel accommodation in St. Petersburg and cash.
