Italy Debuts On World Poker Tour With WPT Venice

Italy will play host to the World Poker Tour WPT for the first time in its history this summer. The northern city of Venice will stage the main event from 6th May through to the 10th May.

The tournament will take place at the stunning Casino di Venezia in the centre of Venice. The worlds first casino was established in Venice and the "City Of Bridges" is still home the oldest gaming house in the world. Opened in 1638, the Casinò di Venezia has always been a centre of international attraction.

The main event will have a buy-in of €4,000+€400 with the winner taking home  WPT Venice bracelet plus a $25,500 seat in the April 2010 WPT Championship.

There is no plans to televise WPT Venice, however, you will be able watch the main event action online at www.bwin.com
