Yevgeniy Timoshenko Takes WPT Season 7 Title

The 2009 World Poker Tour came to a close last night when Yevgeniy "Jovial Gent" Timoshenko became the second youngest player ever to take the title. After 8 days of play the 21 year old walked away with the $2,149,960 first prize and his first WPT braclet.
The Season VII finale of the WPT was held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada and attracted a field of over 300 amateur and professional poker players. In the end Timoshenko had a convincing win against a stacked final table that included Bertrand 'Elky' Grospellier, Shannon Shorr and Scotty Nguyen.
