William "Kai" Landry, an amateur player from Biloxi MS, has won the World Series Of Poker Circuit Main Event at Harrah's Tunica. Landry took home the first prize of $183,974 as well as a diamond laced gold WSOPC ring and a $10,000 entry to the 2009 WSOP Main Event next July.
Things weren't looking too good for Landy coming into the final table. Matthew Stout held almost a thirds of all chips at the start of play and looked like he had the tournament wrapped up. Landry fought his way into the top 3 and eventually claimed Stout as the third place finisher before forcing David Dao into the runners up position.
The 2009 WSOP Circuit Harrah's Tunica champion drew a field of almost 12 thousand players and generated a total prize pool of $3,788,335.
